A multifamily high-rise affordable housing project based on dockyards of Mumbai

One of the most prestigious projects of Indian government that we carry a pride being involved with. Darshan Medhi Architects was scoped to do the design management of the project that involved coordination with multiple agencies of specialist engineering and equipment along with vendors and senior design concept consultants and government bodies.

Designed in about 2000 m² of the plot this container house rural settingis an example for self sustainable buildings. The entire house was completed in less than four months and employed all local resources. It forms a fantastic blend of flowing natural spaces from outside in and other other way around.

Designed and built on an extremely tight urban plot of not more than 95 m² this multigenerational single family dwelling opens a complete new aperture to design and technology of buildings being Fabricated and painted offsite and then put together within limited time. A timeless design essence with a long lasting life with a flexibility and sustainability for years to come.
